Service Offerings and Pricing

Santiago Law, LLC offers a variety of service options to offer clients affordable and predictable legal services--while maintaining excellent legal service. Our services include traditional representation, limited scope representation, flat fee unbundled services, and subscription-based models. Not every option fits every situation, and we work closely with clients to determine the level of service that makes the most sense for their goals and budget.

Santiago Law, LLC provides legal services and representation in most family law-related matters but can also help connect you with attorneys in other practice areas if necessary. Send us a message if you need assistance outside of family law.

Traditional Representation Models
Best for complex and contested matters

Traditional representation generally refers to the handling of legal matters from start to finish, including: developing legal strategy, preparing all necessary documents, engaging in negotiations, representing clients in court, and maintaining regular communication throughout the matter.

Traditional representation usually entails bill-by-the-hour payment options and is ideal for clients seeking comprehensive legal service on every stage of their case.
Examples of matters suited for traditional representation may include:

  • Contested divorce involving complex asset division
  • High-conflict allocation of parenting time and responsibilities
  • Relocation cases requiring court approval
  • International custody, relocation, or jurisdictional disputes
  • Contested orders of protection or orders including multiple parties
  • Post-decree litigation (e.g., enforcement of parenting time)
  • Appeals from family court decisions
  • Divorce involving closely held businesses or professional practices
  • Multi-state family law disputes
  • Matters involving family law and other practice areas
  • Flat Fee, Limited Scope  & Unbundled Services

Best for agreed and uncontested matters

Flat fee, limited scope, and unbundled services refer to legal assistance provided for a clearly defined task or issue, rather than full representation, such as: drafting agreements or other documents, reviewing agreements, preparing for a court appearance, or offering legal advice on a specific question.

Unbundled services are offered at a predetermined cost, allowing clients to understand the scope of work and associated fees upfront. Flat fee arrangements are ideal for clients who need targeted legal support without the commitment of ongoing representation.

Examples of matters suited for flat fee pricing, limited scope, or unbundled services may include:

  • Drafting a prenuptial or postnuptial agreement with limited assets
  • Preparation of initial divorce pleadings and other documents
  • Drafting settlement agreements (e.g., marital settlement agreement)
  • Drafting motions and answers for self represented litigants
  • Responses to discovery requests
  • Limited representation in mediation or single issues in a given matter
  • Drafting legal opinion letters or conducting targeted legal research
  • Subscription & Recurring Services

Best for non-urgent & recurring legal needs

Subscription services provide ongoing access to legal guidance for a fixed monthly fee. This model is designed for clients who may not require full representation but benefit from regular communication with an attorney to address emerging questions, review documents, or receive strategic advice.

Subscription plans offer predictability in cost and continuity in support, making them well-suited for individuals or families navigating evolving legal situations over time.

Examples of matters suited for subscription services may include:

  • Ongoing legal advice for self-represented litigants on substantive and procedural matters
  • Ongoing legal advice on post-decree matters for compliance (monthly check-ins)
  • Access to an attorney for general education on legal rights and responsibilities
  • Ongoing assistance with drafting and editing non-urgent matters (e.g., review of email communications with opposing party for tone and assessment of legal risks)
  • Review of third-party documents in ongoing matters for self-represented individuals
  • Practice Areas

Our practice revolves around family law and issues that arise within the family context. The scope of a legal issue is not always apparent, but family-related cases often touch on overlapping areas like housing, safety, finance, business, and estates. At Santiago Law, LLC, we handle each case with a clear understanding that no legal matter exists in a vacuum. We approach each case with an eye toward the broader legal and personal context of each client's situation, offering practical strategies for families in transition, conflict or crisis.

    Commitment to the community

As part of Santiago Law, LLC’s commitment to access to justice, the firm accepts a limited number of pro bono cases each year. These cases are handled exclusively through established legal aid organizations. If you are in need of free legal assistance, we encourage you to contact a local legal aid provider, who may reach out to us directly if your case is appropriate for referral. We are unable to take pro bono cases outside of this process.

    Legal Aid Referrals

To support individuals seeking low-cost or free legal help, Santiago Law, LLC provides referrals to local legal aid organizations. These referrals are offered as a public service and resource to all members of the community. Please note that we do not endorse or guarantee the services of any specific organization, and encourage individuals to perform their own due diligence when seeking legal assistance.

    Other Practice Areas

Santiago Law, LLC focuses primarily on family law matters. However, the firm may also assist with related legal issues, including limited document review, general civil litigation, and procedural guidance in select matters. Where a client’s needs fall outside the firm’s scope of services and expertise, we may refer the matter to outside counsel if it would better serve the client’s interests.
